Are You Lookin At Me?

My last post reminded me of something. A while back, we had some discussion in the Kitchen family about who our celebrity look-alike would be. Neal was always told that he looks like either Nicholas Cage or Bing Crosby. We decided my celeb look-alike would be Kristin Kreuk of Smallville. We went through every one in the family and eventually came up with celeb to match and it was kind of funny. So here is our pictures made up by our bro-in-law Greg.

I don't mean to sound hung up on celebs but I was just trying to think of any that I've met in person. So few.... I met David Lanz (new age writer/performer) at one of his concerts and he signed a book for me that reads "To Jackie, love David Lanz". Whoa pretty heavy stuff. I was probably about 10 or 11 at that time. I've met Tigger at Disneyland.... I mentioned before that I met Craig Jessop last month, I've shook hands with L. Tom Perry (ga's are celebs to me) and I had a religion class at BYU with Henry B. Eyring's daughter.... Now for something really impressing, I met Donny Osmond, told him a joke and got a pity laugh from him. I was working as a cashier at CompUSA my freshman year at BYU and I knew he was in the store and he happened to come through my register, used a credit card, and I asked him if he could 'autograph' his credit receipt for me (well not for me but this was the joke I referred to - I know stellar material). He chuckled, signed and smiled and left. While working there I eventually moved to the Business Sales desk where I met some bigshot company people but I don't consider them celebs. Afterall, they wasted money on big ticket items for stupid reasons, for example one purchased a top-of-the-line laptop to put away in a time capsule to dig it up later in life just to see what technology was like back in the day. I doubt they even powered the thing up before locking it away for time. Oh ya, Larry King sat at a dinner table next to my table at a banquet put together as part of the Stadium of Fire events.

I can't think of any others offhand, sorry to disappoint you. My sister was at one point a huge fan of the actor who plays Fred Weasley and she was able to meet him and get his autograph and get a picture of him but when she went there and stood in line for ages and ages she came away realizing that she had got his twin brother's autograph instead. Too bad.

So who are your celebrity look-a-likes or have you met anyone famous worth noting?

  1. I think that Matt looks like Wesley in the princess bride- he used to have the curl in the middle of his forehead and everything. I have been told that I look like Goldie Hawn- especially in the movie "Private Benjamin". Being in the entertainment industry, I have met lots of famous people. I was best friends and dated Joey Fatone in high school- I have lots of presents from him and have done the red carpet thing. Don Osmond is a good friend of mine, and I've jammed with Donny a number of times at their house. I know Michael McClean and Mack Wilberg. I was in a Jimmy Buffet video and have been to Margaritaville- come over some night- Matt takes great delight in showing the video. Those are the most notable I guess. I would love to meet Oprah...

  5. Chris can definitely go fo a Lee guy. I'm not sure if Audrey is good enough looking the play the part of Summer and as for Kai, let's try and lighten up the chucky image and I would have to say he looks like the baby in Ice Age. I haven't found an Aedan look a like although he fits the personality of Boo in Monsters Inc.
