Weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen!

I give up. Another tag. Oh well, I was looking for something to post today that didn't take too much brain power. This is a google image tag from april, where you do a search under google image using the answer to each category, then post a picture from the first page of results. I must say, if you do this, be careful as you could pull up stuff you would rather not see... like middle aged people. Shiver me timbers, we wouldn't want that to happen.

Age on my next birthday... Hhhmm don't know if I want to post my actual age... thus I won't give you the name of this astronomy wonder. It looks like a Christmas Tree!

A place I'd like to visit...
I would love to go to New Zealand and I am one step closer to that dream - my brother is moving there to work for Weta, I can only assume he will be working on the next Hobbit movie. He is a fabulous animator!

A Favorite Place...
Hong Kong, a view from The Peak.

One of my favorite things...

Pepper grinders are the best. Can't live without it.

One of my favorite foods... (ok two)

I love lemons and limes and this pic came with a recipe. Wonder if it is any good...

My favorite flower...

I can't help but think about sunny days at the beach when I smell a Plumeria. Such a pretty fragrance and makes for a beautiful accessory.

My favorite color...

I love the color of chocolate. Almost as much as I love the taste...

Name of a past pet...

I had an orange striped cat that I named Hobbes after the stuffed tiger in Calvin and Hobbes. He was a cute kitten but my little tiger decided to become a wild cat one day so he fled the coop.

A nickname I've had...

Jackie Chan. If you don't know why then maybe we can talk about it over lunch. Knuckle sandwiches anyone? :) PS. no I'm not a bully...

My College Major...

My first job...

I picked cherries when I was a kid. We would get maybe 4-5 dollars for every big box we picked (would maybe take an hour) and we would do that all summer long. It would have been better if they were sweet cherries though... the pie cherries are too sour to eat right off the tree but the rotten ones are fun to throw at each other...

A hope for 2008...

I am excited to get our herb garden going in our backyard! If only it would look this pretty though.

I tag all those who have read up to this point! Bwah ha ha ha!

Ok now we are doing book tags?

What?!?! Book Tags. Ok but this is my last one! Thanks a whole heap, Linz...

Rules: Pick up the nearest book.

Turn to page 123

Post the fifth sentence
"Septimus stood and heaved his backpack over his shoulders"

Ok, ya, really intense here. Little did you know this is in the midst of dragon boats and Darkenesse. But of course, he has to heave a backpack on page 123, sentence 5. I am on the edge of my seat!

But it is a good book so I am not making fun of it.

Tag 5 friends.

April (again because she is bound to be surrounded by books right now)
Aislin who should write a book someday
Summer because she reads and runs but probably doesn't read about running
Kara who made cakes to make me laugh in bookgroup
Bunna (or is it Biff?) who writes funny prank emails

Meme Mumblings

There is nothing like a beautiful Saturday spent inside at the computer being sucked into this meme stuff. I've been tagged and while that is all fun for me, now I've got to turn around and share the love. As always, rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. Share 5 facts about yourself that
a. explain how you got your first or middle name,
b. where you were born,
c. your favorite fruit,
d. something embarrassing about you
and e. answers the question "Your dream wedding would have to include..." You must also supply at least one funny photo that goes with one of your facts.
3. Tag as many people at the end of your post as you so desire and list their names (linking to them). You may tag the original sender if you change the rules.
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs. Or, don't. Just link to them and wait to see who actually reads your blog. Now cry yourself to sleep tonight.

I can't believe I'm doing this...

a. My middle name is Chinese, Wing-sze, means "rhythm of a poem". Just a name my mom liked I suppose. Don't think it was an obsession with iambic pentameters.
b. I was born on the island Oahu and apparently the doctor that delivered me looked like a bum off the streets. Truly.
c. There are so many favorites but I can narrow it down to blueberries, limes, and guava. Hhhmm... never tried them together though...
d. I don't think I have any experiences that I would consider embarassing... I suppose I am embarrassed/ashamed of the fact that I don't like to eat seafood.

In my defense, I do try seafood when I have the stomach for it... me in Hong Kong 2005

e. Key Lime Pie! I'm joking, we had way too much Key Lime Pie and now my in-laws never have the appetitie for it.

I tag...

April because she makes smoothies a staple

The 3 Nomads because they teach their kid to boogie down to Cyndi Lauper

La Fuji Mama because she owes me a slot in her next travel itinerary

Terica because she got me into this blogging mess
