Peevish

There has been something bugging me for ages and I want to know something - why do people feel the need to have conversations across bathroom stalls or make phone calls while in bathroom stalls? It certainly isn't being done for privacy because everyone can hear them. I don't know why this bugs me. Am I the only one who feels this way? The other day I walked into a bathroom with someone in mid-conversation and she continued to talk across stalls and that just makes me feel all weird inside. And if you are going to call me while in the bathroom, do me a favor and mute the mic while flushing - I don't need to know. Maybe I'm mental for bringing it up...
Keep the comments clean people ;)

  1. I TOTALLY agree! I had the same thing happen to me last week in the bathroom at a movie theater. I think it is just plain rude. That person may be comfortable with the fact that the person they are on the phone with knows they are in a bathroom, but it is not their right to decide for the rest of the population in the bathroom to broadcast everything that is going on.

  2. that drives me nuts, too!! I would be so self-conscious if I talked on a cell phone while in a stall (hence why I do not). For the respect of the person you are talking to, doesn't it make sense to just call them back in a minute?

  3. I'm totally with you on this! I think that cell phones tend to bring out the worst in people--ie texting while driving down the freeway, talking on the phone while backing out of a parking space, and my least favorite, talking on the phone while wandering aimlessly and incredibly slowly through a crowded store. Grr!!! No one is that important!
