This past week our vacuum cleaner broke. We just bought a new one last night. Apparently we got a killer deal on our vacuum because it came in a semi-big box. So today we built our first home, or I should say a home for Aedan. It took all of 1 hour to do but it was well worth it. I must admit that the foundation is a little unstable and I don't think it would stand up against a light rain but it has a roof, two doors for the entry way, and an escape route, just to cover the bare essentials. It is a quaint home and luckily enough Aedan was able to choose his own address, 2448 Family Room Blvd.
A house isn't a home until you put up some meaningful pictures on the wall... (I can never get picture frames to sit straight but I'm guessing it is because we live so close to train tracks)
Interior work has begun - Aedan wanted a "Kitchen" theme so we stocked the shelves with his favorite fruits, veggies, grains, and dairy products. We also installed a ceiling fan which proved to be rather difficult.
Oh and we love the vacuum cleaner. It is a Kenmore and it has little lights that tell me when I need to change the bag or filter and it also tells me while I vacuum when I have sucked up everything I can from a little spot of carpet and I move on. Phew! Now I can finally have a clean floor right? :)
I suppose we need to hope for a new refrigerator or washer/dryer before we can upgrade Aedan's humble abode. We will see how long this lasts!Happy Leap Year Day! And just as most stores are open before their grand opening, so have I started this site before the official move. So maybe I'll have to have a grand opening celebration next week after I fix a few things. Thanks for stoppin' by!
